I've been reminded over the last couple of weeks about the importance of regularly reviewing and/or discussing close relationships people are involved in. Especially with partners/spouses/family members, etc. A simple "How are we going?" is all that is needed to kick it off. This provides a mechanism for a quick, yet regular ''temperature check." Getting into the habit of this, makes staying focused on the relationship, but without the discussion being a big deal, quite easy. It will lessen the chances of people only talking in reactive ways, or when there is a crisis looming...And if people are not so comfortable about discussing personal stuff/feelings, this helps then get into the swing of this and become practised at it.....it then becomes easier over time, plus people feel more comfortable about raising gripes/conflicts/issues, as the good things, ie., what is also working well, are also being aired...
Only included the Blog option because I could- ie., included all the options in the site that a non-techie dummy like me could half-understand. Not sure if I want to get into the commitment of a regular blog, but we shall see. Building the site itself was good fun- and I do want to refine it a bit further yet. Nice to have it (semi) completed- I feel like a construction worker, but without the hard hat. C U later.....
